A feeling of lightness and softness: this is the distinguishing trait of the Amlet bed designed by Gino Carollo. The slim painted metal base supports the padded frame, giving it this particular appeal. The design is strikingly simple yet with original details that reveal the painstaking care for detail which can be found in all the Bonaldo product range, including the sophisticated matching edge in the same colour as the frame that emphasises the perimeter of the headboard discretely. Amlet is available in the version with a single or double bedstead, with firmness adjustment. The frame is made of matt painted metal in white, anthracite grey, dove-grey, red, mint green and saffron yellow. The headboard, with a wooden frame and polyurethane padding, is upholstered with fabric or leather and it is available in two different heights. The perfect partner for Amlet is the “To Be” bedroom furniture collection: drawer chest, bedside table and Tallboy chest drawer which recall the shapes and colours of the bed.

Bonaldo

A story of passion, research and quality that began in 1936

Bonaldo, a successful company in Italy and worldwide that produces elegant furniture and designer accessories, originated from a great passion for design. Tables, chairs, accessories, sofas and beds are produced exclusively in Italy and exported all over the world, employing the most modern technologies and fine materials, carefully selected and with certificates of authenticity. The broad range of products is characterised by an eclectic, dynamic and unique style.

This company from the Veneto region with headquarters in Padua was established in 1936 and, at the beginning, it was specialized in the artisan metalworking. Later, it extended its production to bedsteads and then to iron beds, inventing a foldable bedstead that would become a market standard.

In 1971 Bonaldo attended the Salone Internazionale del Mobile of Milan for the first time and it was in that period that it turned into a manufacturing industry. In the following decade the sofa beds and convertible sofas were successfully included in the production, followed by the first collection of beds. The range of furnishings expanded to comprise armchairs, chairs, tables and all kinds of accessories. The volume of exports became larger year after year and proves that Bonaldo is a successful brand loved not only by the Italian public but also by an international one.

In 2000 Bonaldo began to take its first steps into the world of design, inaugurating a series of favourable collaborations with high profile designers that would become one of its distinguishing features. In this way, products became more and more sophisticated. The creative contribution of talented designers like Karim Rashid, Ron Arad, Bartoli Design, Massimo Iosa Ghini and Mauro Lipparini allows Bonaldo to collect important recognitions like the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Design Award, and the Good Design Award. Among the award-winning pieces there are the Still and Octa tables by Bartoli Design, the Pebble table by Matthias Demacker, the H2O table by Massimo Iosa Ghini, the Poly chair and the Flap table by Karim Rashid.

To date, the most representative product of Bonaldo, that became a style icon worldwide, is definitely the Big Table, designed in 2009 by Alain Gilles. Today over 700 variants of this table are produced (in different sizes, colours and materials) and this fact shows the actual importance of a success that does not vanish.

In 80 years, Bonaldo has managed to create its own unique style that is based on certain highly distinctive elements such as colour, harmony of forms and lines, functionality and comfort.

With a line that ranges from the most modern to the most refined and elegant products, Bonaldo has the right answer for every furnishing need, thanks to the variety and quality of its offer, characterised by personality, dynamism and attention to detail.

One of the things the company takes pride of is its production which is entirely located in the Veneto region and involves only local suppliers and artisans: this shows a strong tie with the territory and its roots.
