EVERY STYLE ITS COLOR

There are times when your home needs a new look to make its furnishings stand out to the maximum, but also to adapt to the lifestyles of the family. There is not always a need for a complete renovation, but small tricks that will change the glance in the various environments.

An always valid suggestion, and an excellent starting point, is to paint a wall of the room: very often this simple change is underestimated, believing that white always looks good on everything. In reality, color influences moods and create environments that are more in line with the style of the house and the characters of the people who live there. Choosing the right shade for the walls gives the possibility to create combinations and contrasts with furniture and accessories, giving vent to creativity.

Beware of mistakes. Among the most common we certainly find the use of too dark colors or the choice of the same colors of the furniture: the effect that will be obtained is that of closure and monotony. Making combinations is not wrong, but to give a more airy and balanced sense it is better to focus on contrasting choices.

Less banal, but very frequent, is the use of the same color throughout the house. Walls of different colors give greater depth to the environment, moreover bright colors such as yellow or orange can work well in the living area, but not in the sleeping area; on the contrary, the cold shades adapt to the bedrooms.

In order not to make mistakes and without giving up your taste, here are some suggestions: if the style of the furniture is modern, with clean and light lines, a trendy choice for the walls could fall on shades of green, such as sage or a gray- slightly retro green, perfect for white and lacquered furniture, then recalled by some accessories, such as the plain colored sofa cushions, with geometric patterns or decorated with leaves and flowers.

The classic style, on the other hand, necessarily requires light and neutral tones, but with contrasting color details, such as the very scenographic burgundy red, able to frame and enhance antique furniture or in any case with a classic style.

For a shabby chic or British style furniture, the soft pastel color such as lavender or purple is able to enhance the lines of the furniture. Alternatively, the same effect can be achieved by the shades of sage green.
